Scotty Cameron 2023 Super Select Newport 2.5 Plus Putter

Titleist Scotty Cameron Super Select Putters, the latest evolution of the world’s finest milled putters, build upon the tour-proven success of the Special Select line, adding new models, utilizing advanced milling methods, and developing better multi-material constructions.

Super Select Putters feature a new dual-milled face technology that takes sound, feel, and feedback to a new level, combining the softness revered in previously released deep-milled putters with the feedback, consistency, and roll of Scotty’s more recent mid-milled offerings.  Brought over from Cameron’s tour prototypes, this unique process consists of deep-milling the putter face, then adding a second pass that levels the peaks, creating a flatter, more consistent surface to contact the ball.  As a result, Super Selects produce the most consistent roll of any Scotty Cameron putter to date, a rare feat considering past models’ legendary performance.

Save for the Del Mar and GOLO 6, each Super Select bares Scotty’s new “I-Beam” design.  Adapted from putters requested by tour professionals, this new, precision sculpted neck allows for weight to be removed and strategically repositioned in the heel and toe of the putter head.  Relocating weight produces an exact lie angle and combines with sole weights to drastically boost MOI and forgiveness.

Super Select ‘Plus’ models leverage slightly wider profiles and multi-material constructions, including a 6061 aircraft aluminum sole plate, to create perimeter weighting that yields mallet-like forgiveness and stability.  With its I-Beam plumbing hosel and mid toe hang, the Newport 2 Plus is ideally suited to players with a moderate arc and face rotation in their putting stroke.

With the same MOI-enhancing head shape as the Super Select Newport 2 Plus, the Super Select Newport 2.5 Plus adds Scotty’s new sculpted I-beam-style jet neck to promote additional toe flow in the putting stroke. With the wider flange, this is another tour-inspired shape that introduces the next profile in high-performance blade design. Milled in USA from 303 stainless steel with a solid face and the line’s dual-milled face technology, the Newport 2.5 Plus has an integrated 6061 aircraft grade aluminum sole plate, anodized clear and engraved with the line’s graphics. A milled flange sight line provides clean alignment, while customizable stainless steel sole weights provide balance. The putter includes the line’s new shaft band, headcover and textured Pistolini Plus grip. A left-handed Super Select Newport 2.5 Plus model is also available.
